37 Step Tai Chi Short Form

The Yang Style 37 Step Tai Chi short form was developed by Cheng Man Ch’ing (right) in the 1940s. A shortened version of the Yang long form, it became extremely popular in Taiwan, Malaysia and, later, the West when Master Cheng and his family moved to the United States in the 1960s.

One of his most accomplished disciples was Huang Sheng-Shyan (left).

Patrick Kelly and Wee Kee Jin (below) both studied extensively with Master Huang.

Shibashi Set 1

The Shibashi Tai Chi Qigong (18 postures) was developed in 1979 at the Chinese Medicine Research Institute of Shanghai University by the renowned scientist, physician, healer and Qigong Master Professor Lin Hou-Sheng. It is demonstrated below by Master Wing Cheung.

The Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention program was created by Dr Paul Lam and a team of tai chi and medical specialists in 1998. It is based on the Sun style and, although especially effective for arthritis and fall prevention, is also a great practice to improve general health and well-being.
